Kampot is a quiet, sleepy town, perfect for travelers who just want to relax. There is nothing that can be called an active nightlife here, as most restaurants close up relatively early.
There is, however, one bar that is open until 1am—the WunderBar, which is located on the riverfront. It has a garden, and it serves both Khmer and international food, although the kitchen is only open until 11pm. A selection of beer and cocktails drinks, along with other non-alcoholic beverages, is available. There is also a dart board, a chess set, and a pool table. The Swiss-German holds a competition on Sundays.
For those who just love drinking, even in the afternoon, there are some places along the riverside and on Bridge Street which serve happy hour specials as well.
